Eric is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps in which he served as an 0351 Anti-tank Assault-man and as a Marine Security Guard at American Embassies’ San Salvador, El Salvador and Cape Town, South Africa. 

Over the last 20 years, Eric has studied meditation, yoga and a broad spectrum of healing arts in order to become self-sufficient in regulating his own PTSD symptoms. He is a 200-hour Yoga instructor with a background in Vinyasa Yoga and the Hot Yoga series as well as a Trauma Informed Yoga instructor.

He continued his Yoga studies in India where he studied Jhana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Karma Yoga within the lineage of Ramana Maharshi’s non-dualist approach to Self-Realization. Eric’s meditation background started with Vipassanna or Insight Meditation where he studied under Shinzen Young and is a United Mindfulness Instructor, which eventually brought him to study under Fr. Thomas Keating the founder of Centering Prayer where he is a facilitator and certified presenter of Centering Prayer at the Center for Contemplative Living.

On the path of recovering from his own trauma, 15-years-ago he started studying under the tutelage of Dr. David Berceli, founder of TRE (Trauma Release Exercises), and has been a Certified TRE Provider Level 2 since 2007. He is currently a TRE Trainer Candidate.

Along this 20-year-path of study and practice, Eric graduated from Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado, he is a Certified Reiki Master/Teacher and has studied Cranio-sacral Therapy in depth. He is a cofounder of Hydrogenesis, an innovative technique combining cranio-sacral therapy and hot springs, which naturally allows the body to drop into its primordial embryonic fluid state, placing the body in optimal conditions for effortless and natural recovery from trauma.

Eric is a professed Benedictine Oblate since 2014, as well as a husband and a father.
